Cobb School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

COBB COUNTY, GA — The first day of school in Cobb County is on Wednesday, Aug. 1 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you'll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Cobb County School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for the county's public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• Aug. 1: First Day of School
• Aug. 29: Early Release Day
• Sept. 3: Labor Day
• Sept. 24-28: Fall Break
• Oct. 11: Early Release Day
• Oct. 15-19: Elementary/Middle School Conference Week (early release for elementary and middle school students)
• Nov. 6: Student Holiday/Staff Day
• Nov. 19-23: Thanksgiving Break
• Dec. 20-21: Early Release Days
• Dec. 24-31: Winter Break
• Jan. 1-2: Winter Break
• Jan. 3-4: Student Holiday/Staff Day
• Jan. 7: First Day of Second Semester
• Jan. 21: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
• Feb. 18-22: Presidents’ Day, February Break
• March 13: Early Release Day
• April 1-5: Spring Break
• May 21: Early Release Day
• May 22: Last Day of School
