Dog Left In SUV In July, Cobb Woman Indicted In Death
A Cobb County woman has been indicted by a grand jury in the death of a yellow Labrador mix that was left in a SUV for at least four hours.
COBB COUNTY, GA — A Cobb County woman’s dog died in her SUV after being left in the vehicle for more than four hours, according to prosecutors. A grand jury indicted her on Thursday, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Tanya Lee Kuhlman’s indictment came almost seven months after her yellow Labrador mix was found unconscious in the back seat on July 20 in a Target parking lot, 3300 block of Cobb Parkway. Officers broke the window to rescue the dog, which they then took to an animal hospital. It was pronounced dead.
Target’s security surveillance shows the dog was left alone for four hours, according to the AJC. Police arrested Kuhlman on a felony animal cruelty charge. She was taken to the Acworth Detention Facility.
