Get Vaccinated, Cobb Health Officials Say

Cobb Public Health officials are encouraging parents and caregivers to get Hepatitis A and B vaccines for their children.
The agency's challenge coincides with National Hepatitis Awareness Month, which is held every May.
"The most effective way to prevent either virus is to receive the Hepatitis A and B vaccines,"Â said Karen Thomas, the agency's district immunization director.

Vaccines for Hepatitis A and B are available at all Cobb & Douglas Public Health locations. In Cobb, there are locations in Acworth, East Cobb, Marietta and South Cobb.
