In Loving Memory of Gene Allen Smith, 87

Gene Allen Smith, age 87, of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015.

Mr. Smith was born to Clarence and Berta Mae Smith on July 6, 1928 in Preston, Georgia, Webster County. He was lovingly known as “Buddy” in his younger days.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Palmer Smith. He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Giddens and her husband, Keith, of Acworth, Georgia and Demarest Travis and her husband, Leslie, of White House, Tennessee; sisters, Evie Ann Driskell of Tucker, Georgia and Allene Mae Dean of Shalimar, Florida; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM Friday, November 6, 2015 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, Georgia. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 7, 2015 (in state at 9:00 AM) at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Kennesaw, Georgia with Bishop Robert Kime officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw, Georgia.
