In Loving Memory of Gloria Ann Ferguson, 65
Obituary and service information from Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw.

On October 16, 2015, God wrapped his arms around Gloria Ferguson of Acworth, Georgia and called her home. While the hearts of her loved ones are broken and the tears are flowing, they know she is now at peace and without pain in the unfairly short and cruel battle with a rare beast of a cancer. Gloria would not want you to define her by the cancer that took her but rather by the beautiful, feisty, and loving wife, mother, nana, aunt and friend she was.
Gloria was CEO of the Ferguson household, where no piece of mail was ever left on the kitchen table, and every item had a home. She was a master organizer and cleaning expert whose toilet seats could serve as a plate (she’s most certainly shaking her head in heaven right now). There is no doubt when Gloria reached those pearly white gates, she quickly sent Saint Peter out to buy cleaning supplies so she could get right to work. However, her true life’s work was caring for and loving her family where she always put their needs first. Just 9 weeks ago she was busy babysitting great grandchildren and chauffeuring grandchildren around town, because that’s what “Nana” did. Gloria’s giving spirit not only extended to her family and friends but also to the likes of Sally Struthers and Jimmy Swaggart, who should have known her by first name. She was an avid reader of self-help and home remedy books, her answer to every ailment was “take your vitamins” and take her vitamins she did.
Gloria will be missed beyond comprehension and is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Roger Ferguson, her children; Gina and Glen English, Brian and June Castleberry, Elizabeth and Michael Snyder, and Mitchell and Joy Ferguson, her grandchildren Tony, Jessica, Maddy, Alex, Madison, Jacey, Tristan and Kayla; and great grandchildren, Haley, Macey and Mason.
The family will receive visitors at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Sunday and Monday from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday Oct. 20 at 11 AM in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral home. Interment will follow at 1:30 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
