In Loving Memory of Raymond "Fred" Smart, 67

Raymond “Fred” Smart, 67, of Acworth, died Friday, November 20, 2015.
Fred began his career in law enforcement with the Cobb County Sheriff’s Department, and later he served as a Georgia State Investigator in Youth Services. Most recently, he worked as a professional in the private security industry with Allied Barton. He also honorably served our country in the U.S. Air Force. “Buffalo Waller”, as he was fondly known in The Single Action Shooting Society (SASS), had a passion for Cowboy Action Shooting and enjoying the great outdoors. Fred will be remembered as a loving husband, brother, godfather, uncle and friend by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife Vicki; sisters Sandy Smart and Sherry Smart; nephew Harris Ogburn; godsons, Mark Thompson, Blake Thompson and Joshua Thompson; and countless friends and family. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Godbee-Godby Cemetery in College Park beginning at 11am. 5640 Old National Hwy, College Park
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Georgia Sheriffs’ Association / Georgia Sheriffs ‘Youth Homes or the Wounded Warriors Project in his honor.
