Registration for Acworth Turkey Chase Open

Runners and walkers young and old are invited to the Sixth Annual Acworth Turkey Chase 5K being held in downtown Acworth on Saturday, Nov. 22.

Registration for the untimed fun run for people over the age of 13 will cost $10 before noon on Nov. 19 and $20 on race day. Similarly, registration for the untimed fun run for kids aged 6 to 12 costs $5 before noon on the 19th and $10 on race day. Competitors aged 10 and over can take advantage of a timed run; registration for the timed run costs $20 before noon on Nov. 19.

The 5K fun run kicks off at 9 a.m., followed by the 2K walk at 9:15 a.m. Last but not least, a “Little Pilgrim” trot for children under the age of 6 will begin at 10 a.m.

This year’s course will take runners and walkers from historic downtown Acworth down to the shores of Lake Acworth before heading back up to Main Street.

Participants in any Turkey Chase run must bring a non-perishable food item with them to be given a race bib and commemorative t-shirt.
