Body Of Missing Swimmer Found At Allatoona Lake
Gerardo Soto Jr., 22, was found Monday in Lake Allatoona after he went missing over the weekend.
ACWORTH, GA -- The body of a 22-year-Old man was found Monday afternoon in Lake Allatoona, Patch has learned. Gerardo Soto Jr. of Chicago was reported missing over the weekend.
Bartow County officials were notified just after 1 p.m. Sunday about a man who had not emerged from the water, authorities said.
Recovery efforts began at the Red Top Mountain swimming beach area around 2 p.m., said Bartow EMS spokesman Brad Cothran.
