Warrior Way 5K Coming on Sept. 27

Registration is still open for North Cobb Cross Country’s Warrior Way 5K, which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27 in Acworth.

According to North Cobb Cross Country, the course will begin in Cauble Park on the beach adjacent to Lake Acworth, then wend its way through shaded and historic Acworth neighborhoods before finally concluding back on the beach. The 5K will begin at 7:30 a.m., while the 1K fun run begins at 8:30 a.m.

Registration for the event costs $25 for the 5K and $15 for the fun run. All race participants who pre-register are guaranteed a race t-shirt. Non-runners who donate at least $25 to North Cobb Cross Country will also receive a shirt through the mail.

Packet pick ups will be held on Friday, Sept. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Big Peach Running Company at 1625 Ridenour Boulevard in Kennesaw, and on race day from 6 to 7:15 a.m. at Cauble Park.

Parking will be available at Acworth City Hall, Acworth Library, Acworth First Baptist Church, and McCall Primary School.

Awards will be given to runners to the fastest male and female runner, the fastest male and female Master runners, and the top three finishers in each of 13 age groups.
