ALPHARETTA/MILTON, GA — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

Where: Wills Park, 11925 Wills Road, Alpharetta, GA 30009
When: Dusk on July 4
From the City of Alpharetta: "Celebrate our great nation with your family under the stars watching a brilliant display of fireworks at dusk at Wills Park. Families are welcome to enjoy the fireworks together but are asked to social distance and take whatever precautions will make them feel comfortable.
Due to COVID-19 guidelines and precautions this year’s event will not feature any of the additional activities as it has in the past.
Charcoal grills are strictly prohibited. Small propane grills are allowed with permit and will be granted to the first 50 applicants.

Milton
What: Independence Day Walking Parade
Where: Broadwell Pavilion, 12615 Broadwell Road, Milton
When: 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 3
From the City of Milton: "The City of Milton invites you to celebrate Independence Day - a day early - at the Broadwell Pavilion.
The Walking Parade has become one of the community's most beloved traditions. On July 3, find your most festive red, white and blue and dress up you and you kids, your wagons, golf carts, bikes and even leashed pets to walk or ride along in the parade.
Parade departs from Broadwell Pavilion at 10 a.m. and is led by our own City of Milton Fire Department.
Note: The parade route takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete and parade-goers are invited to return back to the Pavilion to enjoy crafts, snacks, and more.
Come proudly wear your Independence Day colors and join us and celebrate with us!

Johns Creek
What: Independence Day event with live music, fireworks
Where: Newtown Park, 3150 Old Alabama Road
When: 6 p.m. on Friday, July 2
From the City of Johns Creek: "Mark your calendars and save the date for the Johns Creek Independence Day tradition complete with a picnic, music, and fireworks! Bring your family and friends to the City of Johns Creek’s Independence Day Celebration at Newtown Park. Friday, July 2, beginning at 6 p.m. celebrate our country’s independence with friends and family. Grab a spot on the terraced amphitheater lawn with a home-packed picnic or delicious fresh food from a food truck. Cold beer and wine will be available for purchase. Live music from the band, “Block Party Express” is sure to keep you on your feet. So don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes! And if that’s not enough, top-off the night with a fireworks extravaganza! Fireworks will begin after sunset."
Roswell
What: Annual 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza
Where: Roswell Area Park, 10495 Woodstock Road
When: Fireworks at sunset on July 4, Food trucks at 5:30 p.m.
From the City of Roswell: "We can't wait to light up the skies over Roswell again on July 4! Join us at Roswell Area Park to for live music, entertainment, and food trucks. Bring your chairs and blankets to spread out at one of several fireworks viewing areas throughout the park. Fireworks will start at sunset.
*Note: 9:30 p.m. is the scheduled start time for fireworks. However, the start time is sometimes earlier or later depending on weather. Arrive early and/or check the Rec & Parks Facebook feed for updates."
Sandy Springs
What: Stars and Stripes
Where: City Springs, 1 Galambos Way
When: 6 p.m. on July 4
From the City of Sandy Springs: "Join us on July 4th for the Sandy Springs Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration for the first time at City Springs!
The event was previously held at the Concourse Corporate Center.
The Rupert’s Orchestra will rock the City Green. Music begins at 7:30 p.m., and fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m.
Bring your own picnic, purchase from one of the nearby restaurants, or check out the event food trucks. Food trucks will open at 6 p.m.
Only alcoholic beverages sold on site are allowed. Tents and personal sparklers are not permitted.
