ALPHARETTA/MILTON, GA — Before you head to the 4th of July parade or fireworks extravaganza, be sure to pack a little extra sunscreen before you go.
As we approach the holiday, your Independence Day festivities are no doubt confirmed. But, as most of us know, Mother Nature is fickle and could always step in and ruin the best-laid plans with a trifecta of rain, storms and cloudy skies.

The weather forecast for the weekend shows mostly sunny days ahead. Friday is the last day of rain that we'll see in our area, with a high of 78 degrees and a 93 percent chance of rain. Then on Saturday, we will have a high of 79 degrees, and it will be clear throughout the day. On July 4, the high will increase to 86 degrees, and will be mostly cloudy through the day. On Monday, the high jumps to 92 degrees and will again be mostly cloudy throughout the day.

The sunny days ahead are great for the plethora of events happening in and around Alpharetta and Milton for Independence Day.
