Alpharetta Amphitheatre Gets New Name
The former Verizon Amphitheatre is now known as Ameris Bank Amphitheatre.

ALPHARETTA, GA — The popular amphitheatre that hosts hundreds of thousands of music fans each year in Alpharetta has a new name. The former Verizon Amphitheatre is now known as Ameris Bank Amphitheatre.
The bank, which is based in Moultrie, has signed a multi-year agreement with Live Nation to have its name on the venue, which hosts more than 30 events attracting over 300,000 live music fans each year.
The Ameris Bank Amphitheatre "underscores Ameris Bank’s commitment to supporting the arts through music, which fosters creativity, strengthens local economies and unifies communities," the company said.

“We are excited to sponsor the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre, an iconic Atlanta outdoor music venue that promises concertgoers the absolute best music scene, season after season,” said Ameris Bank CEO Dennis Zember. “As an avid concertgoer myself, I’m thrilled for Ameris Bank to have this opportunity and for our city to continue benefiting from this great venue for years to come.”

Ameris also said this partnership shows its commitment to maintaining strong ties to metro Atlanta. The 12,000-seat amphitheatre in Alpharetta is operated by Live Nation Entertainment. Since opening in 2008, the venue has hosted shows by some of music's biggest acts, including Jimmy Buffett, Chris Stapleton, Steely Dan, Luke Bryan, Dave Matthews Band and Zac Brown Band.
