Alpharetta Eatery Donating All Sales For A Day To Charity

ALPHARETTA, GA — The Alpharetta Jersey Mike's Subs stores are among 58 Metro Atlanta locations donating 100 percent of sales to Bert's Big Adventure on Wednesday.

Established in 2002, Bert’s Big Adventure is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides an all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families.

The effort is part of the sandwich franchise chain's Month of Giving, which has raised $32 million for local charities since 2011. In fact, the Jersey Mike’s “Month of Giving” national campaign was modeled after the partnership that began 11 years ago between Bert’s Big Adventure and Atlanta-area Jersey Mike’s franchisees, Ron and Dale Longo.

Jersey Mike's hopes to shatter its own record and raise more than $8 million this year, it said in a news release.

Jersey Mike’s has been taking donations all month for selected charities. “All sales from all locations” will be donated on Wednesday, the company said. Owners will even donate their money to the cause so that every dollar that flows in on Wednesday will go to charity.
