Alpharetta To Host Public Safety Kids Camp

The summer camp will expose rising middle school students to various aspects of the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.

ALPHARETTA, GA — The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety will host a summer camp for youngsters who are interested in learning about some of the inner workings of the agency.

The camp will be held 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, June 11 to Friday, June 15 for students who will be entering sixth, seventh or eighth grade in the 2018-19 school year.

Campers will learn about fire services and police work, search and rescue, firefighting, bike safety, police K-9s and basic first aid safety from Alpharetta firefighters and police officers. The agency said the camp is a great opportunity for public safety personnel to help children build a sense of teamwork and responsibility.
