Alpharetta To Host Spring Nationals Lawn Mower Race
Ten classes of the fastest lawn mower racers in the country will satisfy their need for speed during the Cutting Edge Spring Nationals.

ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Alpharetta is set to welcome United States Lawn Mower Racing Association (USLMRA) as racers from across the country will compete in the 2019 USLMRA Cutting Edge Georgia Spring Nationals on May 31 – June 1 at Wills Park Equestrian Center. Ten classes of the fastest lawn mower racers in the country will satisfy their need for speed on their tricked-out weapons of grass destruction. Racers will rev their engines and hit the gas reaching up to 80 mph as they take to the turf.
The Cutting Edge Lawn Mower Race is free to the public. The racetrack will be created under the covered arena at Wills Park Equestrian Center, 11915 Wills Road, Alpharetta.
Established in 1992, USLMRA is America’s oldest and largest National Mower Racing sanctioning body. The USLMRA racers don’t compete for monetary rewards but they do race for trophies, glory and most importantly bragging rights. Members and affiliate racers enjoy the love of competition, to tinker and they welcome all who share that philosophy. Racers balance American ingenuity with a sense of humor, a love to engineer and desire to go fast. By not racing for money, they keep the sport of lawn mower racing safe and affordable.
