Alpharetta Hosting Pruning, Maintaining Shrubs, Roses Workshop
This class will cover the when, where and how and provide a hands-on demonstration on how to prune.

ALPHARETTA, GA — The City of Alpharetta and the Alpharetta Natural Resources Commission, along with the UGA Cooperative Extension North Fulton Master Gardeners, will offer a workshop for homeowners from 7-8:30 p.m. on Feb. 19, at the Alpharetta Department of Public Works, 1790 Hembree Rd.
Homeowners will soon begin pruning and fertilizing roses and shrubs to be prepared for the summer heat and possible lack of rain. If plants have grown too large for their location, they may need to be pruned at the right time and done the right way, the city said. This class will cover the when, where and how and provide a hands-on demonstration on how to prune. Additionally, it will provide a review of mulching, weed control, watering, fertilizing, and pest control for spring and summer.
This class is hosted by the City of Alpharetta and the Alpharetta Natural Resources Commission.
