Alpharetta Resident Joins Rapidly Growing National Mortgage Organization
Gary Wofford brings a depth and breadth of financial experience to Atlanta-based PrivatePlus Mortgage.
PrivatePlus Mortgage, a division of Private Bank of Buckhead, has named Alpharetta resident Gary L. Wofford a Vice President and Mortgage Banker.
“Gary is a no-nonsense guy and hard worker who takes the approach that anything can be done and done the right way,” says Dan Smith, President of PrivatePlus.
Wofford has a broad range of financial and management experience, including having served as the branch manager for a securities firm, and raising funds for a commodities firm. He led the turnaround of one brokerage branch which was subsequently voted most improved of 50 offices worldwide. Wofford also once served as campaign manager for a non-incumbent candidate for mayor of Bloomington, MN, who won the election with a record-setting vote.
He has worked on both the retail and wholesale sides of the mortgage business, and at previous mortgage firms achieved the status of Number One loan officer firm wide and was the overall rate leader at another firm. He has been based on Atlanta since 1990.

Wofford and his wife of many years reside in Alpharetta; they have two daughters who live in Brookhaven. Away from work, he is involved with the Rotary Club of Buckhead and is a member of the City Club of Buckhead. And you may recognize the famous name: His ancestors founded Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC.
