Alpharetta Rotary Hosting Digital Derby Fundraiser For Nonprofits

The Alpharetta Rotary Club is hosting a digital donation derby to support local nonprofit organizations.

ALPHARETTA, GA – The Alpharetta Rotary Club is hosting a digital donation derby to support local nonprofit organizations that are dedicated to helping people during the new coronavirus pandemic.

The digital derby, which will be held on May 2 at 5 p.m. on Zoom and social media, will feature 20 Alpharetta Rotarian jockeys with 20 horses representing 20 organizations who will be assigned to a race color and lane on a past Derby race.

Each jockey will be encouraging people to donate and participate in the digital derby party. The winning horse will receive an additional donation for their organization.

As of Wednesday, almost $69,000 have been raised for the digital derby. The Rotary has set a $75,000 goal.
