A member of the institution said he received an alert on his phone around 4:11 a.m. from the security cameras located around the outside of the building. The cameras showed a man with a mask, dark clothing, and gloves riding a bike up to the back door of the building. The burglar tried to enter through the back door, but was unable. The video then shows the thief at the front door, where he broke a window to get inside.

Video shows the suspect then walks around and grabs a black cash box that was on a table near the front door. The burglar is in the building for less than one minute before leaving through the back door, police said.

The temple member said he went to the building after receiving the alarm notice and saw the suspect riding his bike away through the trees toward the Fiserv building. He did not approach the suspect.

Officers searched the area for the suspect, but he was not found. Fingerprints could not be obtained due to the suspect wearing gloves.

It is uncertain how much money, if any, was in the cash box.

The temple member said he saw the same suspect attempt to burglarize the building on Nov. 10.
