Atlanta 24 Hour CodeDay Competition Results
Students from around the state coded their hearts out all night in this fun competition.

ALPHARETTA-MILTON, GA - From LexisNexis: On February 17, high students from across the state will spend the night in Alpharetta participating in a 24-hour, nonstop “code-a-thon” in hopes of developing the next trending mobile app, video game or web application.
Sponsored by LexisNexis® Risk Solutions, CodeDay Atlanta attracts the brightest, creative minds from high schools and colleges throughout Georgia. More than 50 students of varying experience levels and backgrounds will participate in the event, which will offer workshops and the opportunity to collaborate on building web applications, mobile apps and video games. Judges will announce the winning projects at noon on Sunday, February 18 in the following categories:
- Best in Show (best overall app or game)
- Best in Class – App
- and Best in Class – Game
Students will pitch ideas and choose projects and team members on Saturday afternoon. The newly-formed project teams will then work for 24-hours to bring their ideas to life. In addition to hosting workshops and mentoring students, CodeDay staff will run fun activities — such as karaoke and "no-hands" programming contests — throughout the night.On Sunday morning, the students will present their final projects to the judges.

CodeDay Atlanta will be hosted at the LexisNexis Risk Solutions headquarters in Alpharetta, one of only two cities in the region that will be participating in the event. LexisNexis Risk Solutions has sponsord CodeDay Atlanta for five years in a row as part of its ongoing commitment to foster technology innovation in Atlanta.
