Community Corner
Community Food Forum On Feb. 27 In Alpharetta
This new initiative will explore how to incorporate agriculture in redevelopment plans.

ALPHARETTA, GA — The city of Alpharetta is teaming up with an organization to determine how community food gardens can be added to bolster access to essential nutrients.
A community food forum will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Alpharetta City Hall. Food Well Alliance has launched a pilot project with the Atlanta Regional Commission to allow communities to brainstorm how they can incorporate agriculture in redevelopment projects.
Residents are invited to share their ideas and learn about the value of community gardens from area urban farmers and food experts. The meeting will explore what would be defined in a city agriculture plan.
