Food Trucks Returning To Alpharetta, Other Summer Events Planned
The City of Alpharetta is bringing back several free summer events, including a limited, summer pop-up series of Food Truck Alley.
ALPHARETTA, GA — The City of Alpharetta is bringing back several free summer events, including a limited, summer pop-up series of Food Truck Alley.
As coronavirus restrictions begin to subside, and the current case count continues to decrease, the City of Alpharetta has decided that providing outdoor opportunities for the community to come together is in the best interest of everyone.
“We are excited to be able to provide such a great variety of free, outdoor events this summer as we start to see the return of normal in Alpharetta,” Alpharetta Mayor Jim Gilvin said. “I encourage our residents to continue to do what they feel is in the best interest of themselves and their families, but we hope that these events can be a bright spot for everyone this summer and Alpharetta can come together to celebrate what we have overcome.”

Food Truck Alley returns to downtown Alpharetta for a limited, summer pop-up series on the first Thursday of the month in June, July, and August. Culinary options include more than 10 food trucks each month offering a range of cuisine types. With the support from Alpharetta Convention & Visitors Bureau, this family-friendly event will feature live music, limited seating and will be held on Old Roswell Street.
“We received an outpouring of feedback from the community earlier this spring and our city council and staff members listened,” said Morgan Rodgers, Alpharetta Recreation, Parks & Cultural Services Director. “Food Truck Alley checks all of the boxes for our residents and visitors. They want a casual, outdoor, family and budget-friendly event with food trucks so we think the Summer Pop-Up series of Food Truck Alley will give them just that while also sticking to a limited schedule so they can support our fantastic downtown restaurants as well.”
