Fulton County Schools Move Online Thursday Due To Weather Threat
Fulton County Schools will move to its 'remote learning model' Thursday due to inclement weather associated with Hurricane Zeta.
FULTON COUNTY, GA — Fulton County Schools will move to its remote learning model on Thursday due to inclement weather associated with Hurricane Zeta.
According to school district officials, teachers and students will not report to school buildings but teaching and learning will continue online. Only essential personnel will report to school.
Remaining staff will work virtually following the recently outlined Nov. 3 (Election Day) reporting protocol. All other activities and athletics scheduled for Thursday, including the PSAT, will be rescheduled, district officials said.

According to the National Weather Service, a tropical storm warning is in effect for Forsyth County. A tropical storm warning means tropical storm-force winds are expected in parts of north Georgia.
A flash flood watch remains in effect also through Thursday evening.

The remnants of Hurricane Zeta will produce heavy rain in excess of two to four inches with locally higher amounts. Additionally, minor flooding of rivers, creeks, and streams is expected, with isolated moderate flooding possible.
