Georgia's coronavirus case counts continue to surge as the state sends students in some districts back to in-person classes. In-person school at North Paulding High School in Dallas was called off for Monday and Tuesday after six students and three staff members tested positive for the coronavirus after the first week of school. This came after the school made national headlines for student photos shared to social media that appeared to depict crowded hallways.

The school was to be "thoroughly cleaned and disinfected" while students and staff are out on Monday and Tuesday.
