Lawn Care Workshop Planned For March 7 In Alpharetta
The workshop will help homeowners achieve great-looking lawns in Georgia's clay soil.

ALPHARETTA, GA — Lawns add beauty and value to any property; but, often homeowners have questions about the proper way to achieve great looking, healthy lawns in Georgia’s clay soil. The city of Alpharetta will present a free class next week to help homeowners spruce up their lawns just in time for the warmer weather.
The class, held in conjunction with the North Fulton Master Gardeners and Alpharetta Natural Resources Commission, will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 at Alpharetta City Hall (For more news like this, find your local Patch here. Beautiful, healthy lawns require more than simply mowing and fertilizing. The best times for fertilizing and aerating vary for each type of grass: cool-season grass (Fescue) and warm–season grasses (Bermuda and Zoysia). Properly timed weed prevention will also improve your lawn and save effort later.
