Julie’s life taught many the rewards of living with and caring for a child with special needs. She loved her time in school and appreciated the teachers that patiently worked with her each day. She was so fortunate to have wonderful nurses, therapists and caregivers that benefited from her beautiful smile and sense of humor.
In 1997, she moved with her family to Alpharetta, GA, seeking a warmer climate from NH winters. Her favorite activities included floating in her pool (with hat, umbrella and sunglasses), listening to music (in particular, Sean Smith and James Casto, her local favorites), watching movies and holidays with the entire extended family gathered (brother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, her dog Beamer, mom and dad).

She is now with the Lord and joining her two grandfathers, Joseph Wynne and John F. Lyons that predeceased her.
Julie is survived by her mother and father, Joanne and Jack Lyons of Milton GA, her brother Kyle of Oakland CA and her grandmothers Elinore Wynne of Cumming, GA and Gloria Lyons of Methuen, MA and many aunts, uncles and nieces.
A ceremony celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, June 8 at 3 p.m. at Northpoint Community Church, Alpharetta, GA. The family requests that attendees wear the color purple to honor Julie.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to any of the following charities: International Rett Syndrome Foundation, FOCUS and Sunshine on a Ranney Day.
