The Eagles raced some of the top-state finishing teams from many different classes in one of the most competitive races of the season. Milton (6th-174 pts) held their own against Norcross (1st-110 pts), 5A State Champions Chestatee (2nd-129 pts), 2A State Runner-Up Pace Academy (3rd-136 pts) & 2A state champions Lovett (4th-137 pts) & 5A state runner-up Decatur (5th-153 pts). The Eagles defeated 13 scoring programs.

Marshall was never out of the lead group and contended for a top-3 overall finishing position.
