Milton Police Cite Cashiers for Selling Beer to 20-Year-Old

The following information was supplied by the Milton police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Milton police cited cashiers at five Milton businesses with underage sale of alcohol during a “sting” operation.

In each case, a confidential informant who was 20 years old went into the store and successfully bought a six-pack of beer. That's despite showing the cashier a driver's license that showed he was underage. The informant was told to tell the cashier he was 20 if asked.

The five stores where clerks were cited on Oct. 30 between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. were:

  • Publix (the manager was cited because the cashier was a juvenile)
