Milton Restaurant Guests Dine In, Dine Out & Somewhere In-Between

Local restaurateurs find innovative ways to expand on-premise seating for guests

Milton restaurateurs are coming up with creative ways to reimagine their traditional dining room footprint while making their guests’ experiences memorable inside, outside, in a courtyard, on the sidewalk, even in a barnyard.

With a major holiday weekend approaching, community residents are thrilled to get out of their homes and savor the traditional restaurant experience of eating out, which these days actually means eating in, as in inside of the restaurant. Regardless of where your seat may be, a couple of Milton restaurants have come up with clever ways to maximize seating capacity while adhering to local and state restrictions.

β€œPart of the charm of Olde Blind Dog has always been our comfortable, warm and cozy seating we refer to as β€˜snugs’ and we’ve been able to keep that ambiance intact with minor adjustments to adhere to local and state seating requirements,” said Geoff Kokoszka, director of operations at Milton’s traditional Irish pub and restaurant.

β€œWe have an expansive courtyard complete with tables for those who want to dine outside, and Crabapple Market’s property management has graciously offered The Green, adjacent to our restaurant, where guests enjoy spacious dining,” Kokoszka added. Live music on Fridays and Saturdays adds to the already special vibe on The Green.

7Acre BarNgrill has brought its backyard garden-to-table concept outdoors. The BarNyard, a newly expanded area on property is now where guests can enjoy al fresco dining.

β€œWithin the next couple of weeks we will be transitioning to dining indoors at 7Acre BarNgrill and The Union,” said Sedgwick, (founder of both concepts). β€œOur BarNyard at 7Acre offers a unique outdoor social-distance picnic table experience for guests to enjoy their to-go orders at tables, and our outdoor stocked bar is very popular,” Sedgwick added.

A list of Milton restaurants can be found on Milton Restaurant Week’s (MRW) website at miltonrestaurantweek.com. MRW, which serves the city's growing culinary scene, will celebrate its first restaurant week event this fall. The event will be presented by Rountree Group Integrated Communications.

β€œMilton restaurant owners, now more than ever, need our support during this challenging time,” said Don Rountree, founder of Milton Restaurant Week. β€œWe want to do our part to showcase our local restaurants and celebrate the level of culinary talent that Milton has to offer.”
