North Fulton Weekend Weather: Possible Tornadoes Thursday

NORTH FULTON COUNTY, GA — We can expect showers and thunderstorms Thursday, partially as a result of Hurricane Harvey, with an 80 percent chance of precipitation.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook warning of the remnants of Hurricane Harvey coming to the area. Thursday, there will be a chance of severe storms, and possible tornadoes.

We can expect strong gusts of up to 30 miles per hour Thursday, especially in higher elevations. Lower elevations may experience flash flooding.

Southeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Friday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday Night: A slight chance of thunderstorms before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 10%.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 80. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 60.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 84.
