Pop-Up Food Pantry To Collect Food For North Fulton Families

MILTON, GA – A local nonprofit group will be hosting a pop-up food pantry on Friday, May 1 to collect food and gift card donations to help the families of Fulton County during the new coronavirus pandemic.

The Milton chapter of the Young Men's Service League will be at Milton's Bell Memorial Park from 10 to 11 a.m. accepting donations of non-perishable food and gift cards for grocery stores.

The donations will be added to personal donations from the Young Men's Service League. In addition, $2,500 in food will be purchased using money that was originally allocated for the chapter's last four meetings, which were all due to the coronavirus.

Friday afternoon, the donated food will be delivered to families in Fulton County Schools' Northwest Learning Community in Milton, Alpharetta and Roswell with parents who have lost their jobs or have seen their incomes diminish over the past few weeks.

According to a post on the City of Milton Facebook page, social distancing measures, masks and gloves will be used during the collection and distribution of the donations.
