Public Art Installed In Downtown Alpharetta
A bright, colorful seating platform with a 12-foot-tall A is situated at the corner of Milton Avenue and Canton Street.

ALPHARETTA, GA — RO Hospitality restaurateur Ryan Pernice, George Jackson IV of Teasley Place and Atlanta artist Greg Mike have come together to add a splash of color to downtown Alpharetta.
A two-tiered seating platform complete with a 12-foot-tall A (standing for Alpharetta, of course), has been installed at the corner of Milton Avenue and Canton Street.
This bright, playful art installment joins the dialogue of utilizing the historic downtown as a center for public art. Pernice and Jackson IV first conceived of the project after learning of a shared love for public art. They were inspired by the Wynwood District in Miami, a national center for street art for locals and tourists alike. Soon after, the pair reached out to internationally renowned Atlanta artist Greg Mike.

“George and I get really excited about street art projects that engage the community,” says Pernice. “We shared a desire to incorporate that excitement in not only Coalition Food and Beverage, but also Teasley Place in general.”
The please was completed Thursday, Dec. 20, and serves as a gathering place for those who live in or are visiting downtown.
