Rivers Alive Cleanup Set For Oct. 15 In Alpharetta
The 26th annual event will kick off at Rock Mill Park.

ALPHARETTA, GA -- Hundreds of volunteers will do their part in beautifying Alpharetta as part of the 26th Annual Rivers Alive cleanup initiative.
The city's event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15. These volunteers will comb the roadways and others areas, looking for trash and debris to collect and keep out of the city and region's waterways.
Volunteers who'd like to take part in this year's event are asked to pre-register by calling (678) 297-6200 or emailing tporter@alpharetta.ga.us. Check in will begin at Rock Mill Park at 8:30 am. The park is located at 3100 Kimball Bridge Road.

The cleanup will be part of Rivers Alive, a joint program of the Environmental Protection Division’s Adopt-A-Stream Program and the Keep Georgia Beautiful Program. The annual Georgia Waterway Cleanup is expected to once again be the largest single volunteer effort to beautify Georgia’s water resources.
All volunteers under age 18 must have the Rivers-Alive-Waiver completed and signed by a parent before arriving at the event.
