Road Closure To Impact Bethany Road Evening Commute Sept. 11-12
Motorists are advised to avoid the section of Bethany Road located between Mid Broadwell and Mayfield Roads.
ALPHARETTA, GA — A portion of Bethany Road located just south of Mayfield Road will be closed from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11 and Thursday, Sept. 12 as crews from Atlanta Gas Light relocate two high pressure gas lines. The relocations require the closure so that crews can open cut the road and fabricate, trench, and install the gas main lines.
Residents living along Bethany Road south of Mayfield Road will be able to access their residences throughout the closure by approaching from the Mid Broadwell Road intersection. Those living north of Mayfield Road should access their homes by approaching from Mayfield Road or points north.
All other motorists are advised to avoid the section of Bethany Road located between Mid Broadwell and Mayfield Roads. East / west commuters are advised to use Providence Road or Rucker Road to avoid the area. Those commuting north/south are advised to use Ga. 9, Ga. 140, or Providence Road as an alternate route.
