Roads, Greenway To Close For Women's Half-Marathon
A segment of Alpharetta's Big Creek Greenway and portions of some streets will be closed the morning of Sunday, Nov. 4.

ALPHARETTA, GA — Motorists should note segments of several roads and a section of Alpharetta’s Big Creek Greenway will be temporarily closed on the morning of Sunday, Nov. 4 for the Alpharetta Women’s Half Marathon and 5K Run.
The women-only event, which is expected to draw more than 2,000 runners, will start and finish at Avalon and is the first race that will be run on the Greenway.
The schedule of closures is as follows:

- Northwinds Parkway (5 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.) – Closed southbound from S.R. 120/Old Milton Parkway to Kimball Bridge Road.
- Northwinds Parkway (7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.) – Closed southbound from Kimball Bridge Road to Haynes Bridge Road.
- Westside Parkway (7:10 a.m. to 7:50 a.m.) – One northbound lane closed from Lakeview to Encore Parkway.
- Encore Parkway (7:10 a.m. to 8 a.m.) – Westbound closed from Westside Parkway to North Point Parkway.
- North Point Parkway (7:15 a.m. to 8:10 a.m.) – Northbound closed from Mansell Road to Haynes Bridge Road (southbound to remain open but expect heavy delays).
- North Point Parkway (8:10 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.) – One northbound lane closed from Mansell Road to Haynes Bridge Road.
- Greenway Trail (7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.) – Closed from North Point access to Preston Ridge Access.
- North Point Parkway (8 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.) – Southbound closed from Webb Bridge Road to Preston Ridge Road.
- Webb Bridge Road (7 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.) – Closed from North Point Parkway to Westside Parkway (use North Point to Windward Parkway to get to the west side of city. Use Park Bridge Parkwy to get to the east side of city.

- Webb Bridge closure: Use North Point Parkway to Windward Parkway to get to west side of the city; use Park Bridge Parkway to get to the east side of city.
- North Point Mall area – northbound traffic will be detoured at Mansell Road to Haynes Bridge Road.
- North Point Parkway southbound at Webb Bridge Road – Detour west on Webb Bridge Road to south on Westside Parkway to east on S.R. 120.
