Roundabout Opens Wednesday At Freemanville, Providence Road
The City of Milton has opened a roundabout beginning April 3 for the intersection at Freemanville Road and Providence Road.
MILTON, GA -- Drivers be aware, a traffic shift has been implemented on Wednesday, April 3.
Contractors have shifted to a roundabout operation from a four-way stop at the intersection of Freemanville Road and Providence Road. It will be done with striping, traffic barrels and signage. The shift began at 1 p.m., and city officials said traffic should be in roundabout status by the end of the day.

Ctiy officials said drivers should expect delays during the transition. The project will not be complete at this point, but this is the next phase of the construction process.
"We recognize transportation projects can be challenging, and we appreciate your patience as we work to complete this project designed to help alleviate congestion at the former intersection," the city said in a release.
