This Smiley Pup Could Be Your Valentine: Adopt Now

ALPHARETTA, GA — There's hardly a better time than Valentine's Day to fall in love with a new pup. Even if you’re single, you can see the holiday as a time to reach out to a lonely companion and give them a loving home.

Angels Among Us Pet Rescue operates in the Alpharetta area, rescuing animals and helping residents give them forever homes. According to their website, they're a "volunteer-based organization dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats from high-kill shelters in north Georgia."

Since 2009, they've rescued over 13,000 cats and dogs. They get their funds from donations, planned gifts and merchandise sales.

One certain pup at the Angels Among Us Pet Rescue who could use some love this Valentine’s Day is named Abeleen. She’s a young, smiley lab mix. "My foster mom has a nice backyard and I keep her company while she putters around doing whatever it is humans do in a backyard," she "said."

Abeleen loves smiling, and her foster mom describes her as sweet and loving. She's a bit on the shy side, but look at that smile! Her vaccinations are up to date.
