'Walktober' Returns To Alpharetta Community
The City of Alpharetta offers free, guided walks nearly every day in October with a member from Alpharetta Recreation staff.
ALPHARETTA, GA — Get moving and join Alpharetta's month-long "Walktober Challenge" The free, guided walks are scheduled nearly every day in October with a member from Alpharetta Recreation staff.
The American Heart Association recommends 150 minutes of heart-healthy exercise per week, and walking is a way to meet that goal.
Join in the guided walks and get healthy with members of the Alpharetta community. No registration is necessary.

When and where
- Mondays: 6-7 p.m.: Wills Park; meet at the pavilion behind the Alpharetta Community Center located at 175 Roswell St.
- Tuesdays: 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.: Cogburn Park; meet at the greenspace behind the playground located at 12825 Cogburn Rd.
- Wednesdays: 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.: Webb Bridge Park; meet at the map trailhead near the soccer fields located at 4780 Webb Bridge Rd.
- Thursdays: 6-7 p.m.: New Alpha Loop in downtown Alpharetta; meet at the front of City Hall located at 2 Park Plaza
- Fridays: 9-10 a.m.: On the Greenway; meet at Preston Ridge Park located 3655 Preston Ridge Road (right before the YMCA)
- Saturdays: 9-10 a.m.: Wills Park; meet at the pavilion behind the Alpharetta Community Center located at 175 Roswell St.
