ALPHARETTA, GA — The popular Wills Park Pool has been closed indefinitely after a staff member tested positive for the coronavirus, the City of Alpharetta said on Monday. The pool opened for the season on June 13.
"A member of our Wills Park Pool staff has been confirmed as having COVID-19," the city said Monday in a release. "While the individual did not have direct contact with the public, out of an abundance of caution for our community and staff, the Wills Park Pool will be closed until further notice. During this time the pool staff will be quarantined and/or tested and the pool area intensely cleaned in accordance with our procedures and recommended guidelines. The pool will be reopened only when we are confident that it is safe to do so. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience."
