Armed Home Invaders Tell Athens Family To 'Give Up Everything'

Three home invaders kick in baby gate in Athens condo and pull gun on family. Ordeal ends when dog charges trio.

ATHENS, GA -- Athens-Clarke County law enforcement officials are soliciting the public's help in finding the perpetrators of a home invasion in the Woodlands of Athens condominiums. Police descended upon a condo at the complex off Barnett Shoals Road recently when the homeowners called after someone kicked in the baby gate on the front porch.

Police are looking for three black males who the victims said entered their residence through the front door. When the perpetrators got inside, one of them demanded that the victims "give up everything," police said in a news release. At least two of the assailants had pistols, although they weren't discharged in the incident. The ordeal ended when the family dog began to bark and charged at the suspects. The menacing trio fled the home, running toward the back gate in the direction of the Clarke Garden Apartments.
