The Boathouse Marina on Lake Oconee Adds Second Dry Boat Storage
New building has a flexible design that allows for the racks to vary in height in order to accommodate high-profile water craft.

Greensboro, Ga. – In the latest in a series of widespread enhancements to Harbor Club on Lake Oconee, the community has unveiled a second dry boat storage building at its award-winning marina facility, The Boathouse.
Unlike the first storage building, where all 72 boat racks are the same size, the new building has a flexible design that allows for the racks to vary in height in order to accommodate high-profile water craft.
Says Marina Manager Jerry Cash, “The new storage building will allow us to store offshore fishing boats, center console boats with T-tops, plus wake board boats and ski boats with tow-towers.”

The new building is currently configured to accommodate 36 standard size boats and 27 high-profile, but those numbers can vary as needed. Roughly half of the racks in the second building have already been reserved, and The Boathouse can add two additional storage buildings as demand requires. It is available to both Harbor Club residents and those who live outside of the community.
Winner of the 2016 Aurora Award from the National Association of Homebuilders for the “Best Recreational Facility in the Southeast,” The Boathouse marina is open year-round for launching and loading boats. They also sell marine fuel all year, and can provide shrink wrap services for complete off-season protection of your boat from the elements. The popular Boathouse restaurant and Grand Lawn entertainment space is open between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

The Boathouse is located just outside of Harbor Club’s east gate on Walker Church Road, a mile south of the Richland Connector. It is situated on the Richland Creek side of Lake Oconee, known for the clearest waters on the lake. By boat it is roughly three miles north of the Ritz-Carton Lodge.
