Eleven Athens-Area Groups Recognized Through Days of Giving
Local non-profits receive $1,000 each; Total of $11,000 invested in local community as program celebrates fifth anniversary

Wells Fargo team members are proving that small measures add up to make a huge difference by choosing 11 non-profits across Athens for $1,000 grants as the Days of Giving program celebrates its fifth anniversary in Athens.
Including this year’s support, Wells Fargo has given more than $2.1 million in Days of Giving grants alone to groups across Georgia since the program began. This is just a portion of the company’s giving. In 2013, Wells Fargo gave more than $8.2 million to groups across the state.
Days of Giving allows Wells Fargo team members to honor groups helping in their local communities.

“The collective work of these 11 non-profits makes a huge impact in our communities,” said Mark Tamasi, district manager for Wells Fargo. “Our community has a variety of needs and we are honored to support these groups in their efforts to change Athens for the better—one step at a time.”
The following groups received their checks Tuesday Nov. 18, at a community breakfast at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens:
