Solid Waste
The Athens-Clarke County Solid Waste Department will have changes to its collections and facility schedules for the Christmas week.

• Solid Waste offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25.
• Residential garbage and recycling normally collected on Thursday will be collected Friday, December 26. All other collection days will remain the same.
• Commercial curbside, roll cart and dumpster garbage and recycling services - except for the Downtown Central Business District - will not be collected on Wednesday, December 24 or Thursday, December 25. The Downtown Central Business District collection will not be collected on Thursday, December 25. All other collection days remain the same.
• Leaf & Limb will collect in the Five Points area during December 22-26.
• The landfill will be closed Thursday, December 25. It will resume its regular operating schedule of 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 26

Leisure Services

• Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department facilities and parks will be closed Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25. Facilities and parks will re-open Friday, December 26 with regular hours of operation.

Other Offices
All general departmental administrative offices and facilities (City Hall, Courthouse, Satula Avenue Building, Dougherty Street Governmental Building) will be closed Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25. Regular hours of operation will resume Friday, December 26.
