'Large Boom' In Athens: No Cause Found
Police say they received multiple calls from people about a large boom in the Oglethorpe Avenue area.
ATHENS, GA — Police in Athens are investigating the cause of a "large boom" that was heard around the Oglethorpe Avenue area.
Police say they received multiple calls about the boom/possible explosion. So far, police say they have received no reports about power outages or property damage.
As of Sunday morning, police said no cause had been found.
