Let's Not Hang Our Heads And Cry
We could blame it on the rain...Mistakes were made and golden opportunities were not capitalized...This was a bitter pill to swallow.

The Dawgs lost. What more is there to it? Like the song, we could blame it on the rain. Yes, there was thunder and there was lightening. Bottom line we were the ones to walk away from Saturday’s game not victorious, and no amount of lamenting will change reality. Mistakes were made and golden opportunities were not capitalized. This was a bitter pill to swallow.
Instead of a spoonful of sugar to help this loss go down, this Dawg fan sought medicinal comfort at the New South Kitchen located in the Georgian hotel. Their signature cocktails served by an empathetic staff helped dull my state of disappointment. My choice, a second chance, aptly matched what I think we all wanted. I’m sure Mason would have accepted a second chance to undo the intentional grounding call. Morgan probably would have embraced another attempt on the two missed field goals. But, there are no “do-overs” in football.
So, let’s un-tuck our tails and find comfort in the words of Robert South, “ defeat should never be a source of discouragement but rather a fresh stimulus.” Yes, we lost to South Carolina. But, let’s not hang our heads to cry. Here’s to Saturday’s game. Are there any hurricane’s nearby?
