ROSE OF ATHENS THEATRE announces Season 12: 2017-2018, Auditions, & Academy Classes!

Rose of Athens Theatre enters their 12th Season: 2017-2018, continuing to offer high-quality, engaging
productions for thousands of school children and public audiences. RoA has provided a creative haven for hundreds of professional teaching artists, students, actors, visual artists and musicians
since it’s founding in 2006. In addition to main-stage productions, the company teaches classes, takes workshops to local schools, offers costumed characters at special events, and produces year round
classes - Rose of Athens Theatre Academy, “Teaching Life Skills Through Stage Skills”. Rose of Athens Theatre calls all musicians, actors, technicians and designers to audition/interview for the
Season 12 line-up: Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet (Fall Touring Show), 5th Yuletide
Celebration - It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play
, Cinderella, and Shakespeare Under the Stars: The Merry Wives of Windsor. A full list of auditions, classes, and production dates are available online at roseofathens.org.

Auditions for the first show of the season, Romeo & Juliet (fall touring production) will be held August 8th 6:00PM-9:00PM. Please prepare one 1-minute classical monologue. Contact Danielle Bailey Miller at danielle@roseofathens.org or call 706-340-9181 to sign up for an audition time slot. Please note that you must sign up for an audition time slot to be seen. Callbacks will be held August 9th. RoA is also accepting resume's for production team positions. RoA Academy classes begin August 18th! 'Stage Combat for Youth' will be taught by local theatre artist,
Isaac Callahan. The class is open to ages 8-18. Isaac is certified member of the Society of American Fight Directors. The class will cover a range of stage combat topics and provide students with a safe
foundation for stage fighting and choreography. It is a six-week course, that meets each Friday August 18-September 22 10:00AM-11:00AM (homeschool) and 4:30PM-5:30PM (after school) at Rose Hall – 150
