Suspect Sought after Setting Fire to Athens Woman's Car
Police are searching for a suspect who reportedly set fire inside a woman's Chevrolet Impala while it was parked at her residence.
Athens-Clarke County Police are seeking a suspect who reportedly set fire to the interior of a woman’s 2000 Chevrolet Impala while it was parked at her Woodbridge Circle residence in Athens this week. The incident is believed to have occurred between 2 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday. Damage is estimated at $4,000.
Other reported auto incidents:
A vehicle owned by Philip Shawn Jennings of Winder was entered between 9 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. Monday while it was parked at a Laurie Drive residence. Two handguns valued at $1,000 were reportedly stolen.
