Georgia Girl Blog: Who Let the Polecat Out?
The timing of this smelled like a freshly hit polecat.

Blindsided. That pretty much sums up how our household felt at the news of Gurley’s suspension. Even Bear could be heard fretting. The timing of this smelled like a freshly hit polecat.
Despite the stink, Georgia gave us a beautiful Saturday afternoon. They reminded us that while Gurley is no doubt the “superstar” it still takes eleven players to make a team. I believe that the performance we saw was a testimonial to the heart of this team and its leadership. Georgia had a statement to make to the College Football world and they did it well. Shutting Missouri out was the best medicine that all of us needed.
As momma use to say, “everything comes out in the wash eventually.” But sometimes no matter how much detergent you use you can’t get some smells to disappear. Unfortunately, this scent will always remain around Gurley and open for speculation.
