1 Day After Collapsing, Jimmy Carter Back At Work In Canada
Former President Jimmy Carter is back on site at a Habitat for Humanity build in Winnipeg, Manitoba, after falling the day before.

ATLANTA, GA — One day after he collapsed during a Habitat for Humanity project in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Former President Jimmy Carter was back on the site, the agency announced Friday morning. "President Jimmy Carter has arrived at the build site to start the final day of the 2017 #HabitatCWP in Canada," the organization tweeted.
The 92-year-old Georgian was hospitalized Thursday for dehydration but later said that he was OK, according to his representatives. Carter is in Winnipeg as part of the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project, an initiative which aims to help 150 Canadian families by supplying them places to live. The program began on Sunday and wraps Friday.
Carter was released from the hospital early Friday and even attended a morning devotional, according to the Atlanta-based Carter Center.

"Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter was discharged from St. Boniface General Hospital this morning," the center said, adding that he was headed back to the Habitat for Humanity build site.

Thursday's incident in Winnipeg caused quite a commotion as emergency workers were seen scrambling to render aid to Carter, the oldest living former U.S. president. Well-wishers took to social media to wish him a speedy recovery.
Former President Bill Clinton tweeted his support of Carter, saying, "Thinking of Jimmy Carter today. He was working hard helping others through Habitat. I wish him a speedy recovery."
George H.W. Bush did likewise, using his spokesman's Twitter account: "President and Mrs @GeorgeHWBush wishing President Carter a quick recovery today: "God bless him, and we hope he is fine."
On Thursday, Carter Center spokeswoman Deanna Congileo said that the former president was admitted to the hospital as a precaution.
"Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter became dehydrated this morning while working at a Habitat for Humanity build site in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada," Congileo said."As a precaution, he was transported to St. Boniface General Hospital for rehydration. Mrs. Carter is with him."
