2nd Atlanta TSA Worker Tests Positive For Coronavirus

A second TSA worker has tested positive for the coronavirus.

ATLANTA, GA — A second worker at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to the TSA. The new case is a screening officer who worked on March 16 from 10 a.m. through 8:30 p.m.

The first employee tested positive earlier this month.

The TSA says that any employees or travelers who believe they had contact with anyone who tests positive for the coronavirus should consult with their health care provider.

Globally, more than 265,000 people have been infected and more than 11,000 people have died from the COVID-19, Johns Hopkins reported Friday. Of that total, more than 81,000 confirmed cases are in China, while the entire United States has 16,000 confirmed cases as of Friday. There have been 210 deaths in the U.S., 10 in Georgia, tied to the virus outbreak.
